Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RoastPlease ("the Service"), operated by RoastPlease ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

RoastPlease is an AI-powered website analysis tool. You submit a publicly accessible URL, and we use Puppeteer to capture a screenshot and page snapshot, which is then analyzed by Anthropic's Claude AI to produce a report covering design, copywriting, SEO, user experience, and performance. The output is an AI-generated opinion, not professional consulting advice. Results are provided for informational purposes only.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account or submitting a URL, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit URLs that contain malware, phishing content, or material that violates applicable law.
• Submit URLs for websites you do not own or do not have authorization to analyze.
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from RoastPlease beyond what is accessible through normal use.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Use automated scripts or bots to submit URLs in bulk without our written permission.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any other technical safeguards.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@roastplease.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

Paid plans are charged via Stripe. By purchasing a plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule described at checkout.

• Roast Packs (one-time purchases) are non-refundable once roasts from the pack have been consumed, as the AI analysis is delivered immediately upon use. Unused roasts from a pack remain valid indefinitely.
• Unlimited subscriptions renew monthly. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@roastplease.com within 14 days of the charge. We will review requests and, at our discretion, may issue a refund.

We do not claim ownership of the websites you submit for analysis. Ownership of your website content remains entirely with you.

The roast reports generated by the Service are provided to you for your personal or business use. You may share, publish, or act on them freely.

The RoastPlease name, logo, software, and design are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI analysis will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated analysis reflects the model's interpretation and is not a substitute for professional advice from a designer, developer, SEO specialist, or other expert.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoastPlease and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have made no payments.

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed per our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we cease operating the Service. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused paid credits on a prorated basis.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or the courts of the jurisdiction in which we operate, depending on applicable law.
